The FSF apparently thinks so. This is a very well written article, and certainly makes some very valid points.

I'm not a big fan of just re-hashing someone else's blog postings, but the post from the FSF i think should be read by as many people as possible.

I am a huge Apple fan personally, because I feel their OSX and notebooks were/are a breath of fresh air and have done a nice job taking on the Windows monopoly that has existed for to long. However, I have always been against the whole iTunes monopoly Apple has created - and it's this same monopoly they are exetnding and entrenching even further by embedding it deeply into their iPods and iPhones.
