twitter tries to scale with Amazon S3

I guess Twitter is trying to solve some of it's scaling issues by going with Amazon S3 - to bad it doesn't help with the 'downtime' of some of its services:

I guess even moving to Amazon's S3 isn't necessarily helping all them with the scalability issues.
